Happy Christmas

We have had a busy few weeks preparing for Christmas. There was a fantastic response to the St Vincent de Paul Giving Tree appeal and to the Jesuit Refugee Services appeal. Thanks to everyone who contributed. And well done to the SVP carol singers who raised over €1500. On Tuesday 20th December the whole school was treated to a wonderful Christmas concert and on Thursday 22nd we all dressed up as a fundraiser for the Peter McVerry trust. School will re-open at 8.30 am on Monday 9th January. We wish all our students, parents, staff, past pupils, and friends a peaceful, safe and joyous Christmas, and every blessing in 2017.

Dave Rudden author visit

Huge thanks to Dave Rudden, author of Knights of the Borrowed Dark, who gave a very entertaining talk to First and Second Years last Friday in the theatre. We all learned a lot about writing and creativity (and crisps) and the students asked some excellent questions at the end. Congratulations to Paddy Breslin (S2B) who won a signed copy of Dave's book for asking the best question. Photographs from the event can be seen here.

Geography Field Trip

Sixth Year students of Geography recently spent a day in Kippure Estate, Co. Wicklow, conducting a study of the River Liffey. Photographs of the expedtion can be seen here.
