Next Parents' Council Talk, Tuesday September 25th at 7.30pm. We are delighted to have a double bill for the night. We will have Prof. Frank Murray, Consultant Gastroenterologist, who will speak on the physical effects of alcohol and on his experience of what he sees in his work, and Dr Bobby Smyth, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, who will speak on the effects of alcohol on the mental health of young people. The JUSTICE & PEACE group is made up of students of all year groups interested in researching issues relating to these concepts in our world today and working on age-appropriate projects. The aim of the group is to raise awareness of these topics among students, staff and the wider community. Students work on projects promoting justice in the world and present these within the school, through social media and the Educate Magisnetwork. The group is looking in particular at the
The Gonzaga team of volunteers has returned from the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2018. We were very happy to meet so many past pupil volunteers over there. It was a very rewarding and enriching experience for everyone involved. On the last night of the Pilgrimage, current and past pupils gathered and lit a candle for the intentions of the whole community, and in remembrance of our deceased friends.
