Christmas Dress Up Day 2018

Thanks to everyone who took part in Christmas Dress Up Day yesterday. There was a fantastic festive atmosphere in the school, and all proceeds of the day will be given to the Jesuit Refugee Service. The day ended with a wonderful concert which showcased all the musical talent in our community. Thanks to Mr Earley for the photos. More to follow.

First Year Rugby News

48 first years went to Cork on December 1st to play three games against Presentation Cork. A very enjoyable day was had by all, even if the results didn't quite go our way. It is always difficult to compete with the Munster schools at this age as they play by age category rather than year group which can lead to a physical mismatch. It all adds to the lads experience and on the day despite being out muscled they certainly were not outplayed. A rewarding stop off in Cashel service station on the way home helped the teams overcome any disappointments. It was McDs and a tonne of sweets for the journey home!!

TY Rugby League Winners

Very well done to the TY rugby team, who won their League final 13-5 yesterday against Clongowes Wood College SJ. Thanks to Jared Mee for the photo. More photos to follow.

Toy Appeals

Thanks to everyone who donated toys to this year's Christmas appeal. The boys have been busy preparing the gifts to pass on to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and the Jesuit Refugee Service.

Basketball Win

Many congratulations to the Basketball team, who won their Plate final against Blessington 44-22 today.

Festive Fling Concert

Well done and thank you to all the Festive Fling organisers and performers for a fantastic concert last night. With a wonderful array of musical talent and all proceeds going to Blackrock Hospice, it was a very special evening. Special thanks to our guests the Ranelagh Singers and the Trinitones. Great work from Ms O'Brien, Mr Earley and the TY students. See photos here.

Rugby News

We had an eventful day of rugby yesterday. First the TY team won their semifinal against St Gerard's. Very best of luck to them in the final against CWC on Monday 17 December. Then the JCT played excellently against Newbridge College in the Junior League final, only to be beaten 26-24 after a converted stoppage time try. The day ended with a fantastic 19-7 win for the SCT against Castleknock in the Senior League final. Very well done to all our players and coaches; we are so proud of your hard work and committment. More photos to follow.

New Photos Added

A reminder that photos of school activities can be found on our Flickr page. Recent albums include Gaeilge24 and TY actvities. Thanks to Mr Earley for all his work on this.
