Climate Action Week

Thanks to everyone who took part in the recent Green Schools Climate Action Week 2019. Thank you to Eamon Ryan TD for an inspiring talk in the school Chapel on Tuesday 15 October. On Friday, 18 October, we organised a Swap Shop, with the aim of encouraging re-use and reducing the amount of plastic and other materials we use. Boys brought in items such as books, games, and clothes and received tokens which they then used to ‘buy’ other items. Thanks to everyone who organised and volunteered at the event, and to everyone who brought in items to swap. Millfield 2019

Six in a row!!! Gonzaga A: 2019 Millfield Champions! We won five board prizes: Danny Dwyer, Leo Phelan, Sean Hunter, Liam Ó Laoide and James Crowley. Thanks to our wonderful host, Matthew Turner GM. Gonzaga B: 2nd in the Major section and three board prizes for Thomas Cooney, Charles Ridgeway and Macdara Hickey. Huge congratulations to everyone involved!

6th Year Play 9 - 11 October

The class of 2020 presents A Few Good Men by Aaron Sorkin. See photos here. MS Readathon 2019

The MS Readathon runs from 11 October – 11 November this year. All 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students are invited to take part. Boys collect sponsorship for all books they read during this time, and the funds raised go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland. See here for details. Care Packs for Capuchin Day Centre

TY students are organising care packs which will be given to the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People.
