Our new Active Travel path is now finished, making it safer and more comfortable for people to access our school by walking/wheeling or cycling. We counted 79 bikes by the main entrance today, even though it was wet, dark and windy this morning when everyone was travelling to school. Great to see so many students and staff working some exercise into their daily routine by using a form of transport that does not pollute the air or make noise. #CleanAirWeek

The U16s are on their way to the National Basketball Arena after winning a low-scoring thriller 28-21 against Salesians College, Celbridge, today. Bobby Colbert was the top-scorer with 13 points, ably assisted by Zach Mulligan (6 pts) and Mike Morrissey (4 pts). Our defence was brave and tenacious throughout. All are welcome to a Community Mass on Sunday 27 November at 12pm. Music will kindly be provided by the Ranelagh Singers, the Chamber Choir, and soloists.

The annual Transition Year sleepout is taking place on Friday 18 November. This is both a fundraising and awareness building event for the work that the Peter McVerry Trust does for homelessness nationwide. You can donate online here.

We will be holding a community screening of The Letter, a film by Laudato Si' Movement featuring Pope Francis among five leaders representing the voices of indigenous people, the youth, the poor and the wildlife of our planet. The screening will take place on Wednesday 16 November at 7pm in the Coulson Theatre. All are welcome to attend, particularly parents, past pupils, and parishioners from local parishes. RSVP here.

The school's cross country athletes were competing in the Blackrock cross country relays today. We had a winning team consisting of Harry Moran, Jack Conlon, Callum Ó Tuama and Liam Glynn. Well done to the team and all those who competed today. Thanks to Ms Denny for the photos.

The Sixth year Classics, Latin and Art students went on a trip to Rome over the midterm. We saw the Colosseum, Pompeii, Herculaneum, the Trevi Fountain, the rooms of St Ignatius, the Vatican and more. It was a very enjoyable few days! All are welcome at this Sunday's Mass for the Deceased at 10am. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Dining Hall.
