Congratulations to all 21 Gonzaga delegates who took part in the Terenure Model United Nations over the weekend, especially to the first time speakers. Special mention to Johnny Cunnane (2D) and Justin Ikwu (5B), who both won distinguished delegates awards.
Congratulations to Daniel Carroll of 3B who won an award for chairing at the St Andrew's International Model United Nations event this weekend. He was the youngest chair and gained invaluable experience in this role, which he looks forward to developing in future MUN events in 2022/23.
12 students from Gonzaga attended the Model United Nations conference in Wesley College on Friday and Saturday. They served as delegates for Belarus and Zimbabwe and represented those countries’ interests at various committees and at the General Assembly. All our delegates served admirably at ‘WCDMUN’ and in particular, congratulations to Leo Phelan (5D) who won a Commended Delegate Award for his work on behalf of Belarus on the Disarmament & Technology committee.
Gonzaga Model United Nations delegates represented the school this weekend at ROCKMUN in Blackrock College. Well done to Rohan Devereux and Jonathan Kelly, who won Distinguished Delegate awards for Turkey and Spain.
A very successful first outing for the Gonzaga delegation at the Model United Nations Conference in Mount Anville! Leo Phelan (5D) and Benjamin Bradley (4C) won distinguished delegate awards. The Gonzaga students are already looking forward to representing our school at future MUN events in Wesley College and St Andrews’s College in the new year.
