Copper Beech Trust

We would like to remind past pupils about the Copper Beech Trust. The Copper Beech trust formerly known as the Gonzaga Benevolent Fund, is a charity for Gonzaga Past Pupils, staff and families. The Trust has helped many in need with mental health, physical health, financial, or family problems.

The Copper Beech trust works quietly and confidentiality in the background with those who need help. It's not just about assisting financially, it's about using the Gonzaga network in a positive way.

If you or someone you know needs help and you feel there is no one else to turn to, please email

confidential@copperbeech.ie

where your enquiry will be dealt with in confidence

About the Union

The union was established to maintain and develop links between Gonzaga College and the past pupils of the school, it also provides all past pupils with the opportunity to maintain and develop contact with each other.

The union supports selected charities each year and raises much needed funding through each of their annual events.

If you would like to get involved or have any suggestions for events or otherwise please let us know!

Ambassador Programme
We are inviting one person from each year to become an Ambassador for their year to act as a contact point and to help build the union network. If you are interested in getting involved with the union in any capacity please let us know. Email: union@gonzaga.ie

Membership

Through membership of the union you can reconnect with old friends, network at events and keep up to date with the exciting happenings at the union and in the school.

The Union organises a range of events to help you maintain friendships and re connect with classmates & fellow past pupils.

We can put you in touch with your old classmates through our Online Community.

Our aim is also to keep you updated on news from the school and from past pupils worldwide.

As a member of the Union you will be helping the college just by being in touch through the Union, attending events that are of interest to you, lending advice where needed and generally ensuring that the good spirit of the college is kept alive and celebrated through the activities of the the Gonzaga College Union.

Play your part in the future of Gonzaga College and celebrate it’s past. While the Union continues to go from strength to strength, many past pupils have not yet joined. We would strongly urge you to do so and help build ours into a supportive and vibrant community.

Welcome to the Gonzaga Alumni Careers Network

We're excited to continue and improve how we help our past pupils stay connected and support each other in their career journeys. Whether you're looking for guidance, job opportunities, or networking connections, the Gonzaga Union is here to help.

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing career support and networking, we're building a robust platform where alumni can share their experiences, offer advice, and connect with one another. This initiative is just the beginning—we’re excited to continue and improve our services in the coming years to ensure that every member of our community can achieve their professional goals.

For now, please complete the form and provide your details on the left, and we will get in touch to assist you in any way we can. We encourage you to reach out, connect, and contribute. Together, we can create a strong, supportive network that benefits everyone.

Presidents Welcome

Welcome to our website, the central hub for communication within our Gonzaga Past Pupils Union community.

As we step into the 2024/2025 term, I'm honoured to serve as your Union President, continuing our proud tradition of supporting both the school and our fellow alumni. Our website will keep you informed on all our activities, including upcoming events, news, support groups, and photo galleries, ensuring that you stay connected with Gonzaga and each other.

We have an exciting lineup of events this year, beginning with the Annual Golf Outing in October, followed by the Annual Dinner, Career Pathways evening with 6th-year students, the Past v Present Rugby Match,  the Business Lunch, and the global meet-ups in London, New York, and Australia.

Importantly, this year we also look forward to celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the School at the Mansion House in April 2025. These events are designed to strengthen the bonds within the Gonzaga community, both locally and internationally.

Our ongoing success is made possible by the financial support provided by the school and the contributions of our members. Running the Union involves costs such as website maintenance, administrative support, and general expenses, which are covered in part by membership fees. If you would like to support our efforts and become a paid member, please click on the membership tab.

I eagerly anticipate meeting as many of you as possible throughout the year.

Best regards,

Mark Taheny
