On Thursday, the TY Latin class organised workshops with 1D to learn about Ancient Rome. Workshops included sampling some ancient Roman food, wearing togas, building aqueducts and the Colosseum, ancient Roman sports and mythology charades.
And on Friday, the TY Greek class visited the UCD Classics Museum. Students learnt about aspects of daily life in Antiquity throughout millennia from a number of art pieces and artefacts. Professor Joanne Day also let us handle coins and pieces of pottery from circa 2000 BC!
