Gonzaga students represented the school last weekend at ROCKMUN, the Blackrock College MUN event.
This was the first MUN event in two years since the pandemic. The event began with a special message from Minister Simon Coveny congratulating all students for participating in the event and emphasising the importance of engaging in political discourse and developing the important skills of debate, political engagement and problem solving. Daniel Carroll, representative for the Russian delegation, won the Highly commended delegate Award in the ECOFIN Committee. Distinguished delegate award went to Rohan Deveraux, representing Russia, in the Security Council Committee. Well done to all participants and to Peter Doody, Alexander McDonnell and Rohan for coaching the Gonzaga delegates in their first MUN event.
