Congratulations to Olly Riley (5C) who is just back from South Africa where he was playing for Ireland in the Under 19 Cricket World Cup.
Olly was the leading bowler for Ireland with 10 wickets in 5 games, which also put him in the Top 10 wicket-takers in the tournament so far.
Ireland qualified out of their group to the Super Six phase where they came close to upsetting Pakistan before claiming a historic win against New Zealand, in which Olly claimed a crucial 3 wickets.
This was Ireland’s first victory against New Zealand in any form of cricket.
Ireland finished in 8th place in the tournament and secured automatic qualification for the next Under 19 Cricket World Cup in 2026 in which Olly will be eligible to play.
