Congratulations to Olly Riley (5C) who played for the Ireland Academy cricket team this week in the finals of the T10 European Cricket Championships 2023 in Malaga, having topped their group earlier in October.
Olly had a busy summer of cricket starting with an Ireland U19 training tour to South Africa in March, followed by Ireland U19 Ireland series against Scotland and England later in the summer. The team had a memorable win against the England U19 team at Loughborough in late August, much to the delight of their travelling supporters!
Olly also played for the interprovincial series-winning Leinster U17 team and enjoyed a successful club season with YMCA Cricket Club, who won the Leinster Men’s Premier League with a thrilling win on the last day of the season.
