The class of 1991 held their 35-year reunion in Merrion Cricket Club last weekend:
Among the gathering were three of the first team to reach (in 1989) the Leinster Junior Cup final, and the team’s coaches, Bobby Byrne and Jim Walsh. Pictured left to right: Michael Kelly (captain), Jim Walsh, Philip Quinlan, Bobby Byrne and Mark Carney (small group photo). After the teams drew the first encounter, Gonzaga’s opponents Terenure were victorious in the replay by 8 points to 6.
