Congratulations to James O’Dwyer ‘25, Noah Byrne ‘24 and Luke McLaughlin’24, on their inclusion in the Irish u20s squad competing in the Junior World Championship later on this month!

James O’Dwyer (Class of 2025):
While at Gonzaga College James was a part of the Senior Cup Final Squad when Gonzaga College won against Blackrock College in 2022. James was awarded the Captain's Cup 2025 at Graduation. James is a player for Old Belvedere RFC, Ireland u20s Junior World Cup 2026 in Georgia and Irish Schools Clubs Universities U20s Rugby.
Noah Byrne (Class of 2024):
During Noah’s time at Gonzaga College, Noah was a member of the Senior Cup Final squad that achieved victory over Blackrock College in 2022. Noah is an explosive back-three player, graduated from Gonzaga College as the Class of 2024 and played a standout role as a try-scorer in our senior cup campaigns. Following his school years, he advanced to the Ireland U20s and now plays for Dublin University FC (Trinity College) in the Energia All-Ireland League.
Luke McLaughlin (Class of 2024):
Over the course of Lukes time in Gonzaga College he was a part of the Senior Cup Final Squad when Gonzaga College won against Blackrock College in 2022. In 5th year, Luke was capped for Ireland at the 6 Nations U18 Men’s Festival clash vs Scotland. Luke was the Vice Captain of the College from 2023-2024. At Graduation, Luke received the Captain's Cup 2024, he was also awarded with the Senior Cup Captain 2024, and he was given a graduation medal for Leinster schools U18. He is currently studying Law and Business in Trinity College Dublin and is a Rugby Coach for Gonzaga College.
