Thanks to everyone who took part in Dress Up Day yesterday in aid of Jesuit Refugee Services, and to all the musicians and singers for a fantastic Christmas concert. The team from Access Classics at UCD kindly came to do workshops with 1st Year students on Tuesday 6 December. Workshops included ancient pottery, artefacts from the UCD museum, life in Rome and the Ancient Greek alphabet. Thanks to Mr Lynch for the photos. See more on our school Flickr page.

Last Friday, all Third Year students went to Belfast for the day. They visited Stormont and got to sit in the Assembly Hall, have a debate, and cast votes. They then went to the Christmas market for lunch, after which they had a guided walking tour of the Falls and Shankill Roads by ex IRA, UVF and British solders. Well done to the seven TY students who were commissioned as Ministers of the Eucharist in Donnybrook church on Sunday. They took part in a four-week training programne with the Teresian School.

Very well done to the Juniors on their 10-0 League semi-final win against Cistercian College Roscrea on Tuesday, and to the Seniors on their 26-21 win against Kilkenny College in their League semi-final yesterday. The Ranelagh Singers under the direction of Ms Rosemary O'Brien present 'Joy to the World', a concert of both modern and traditional festive choral music. Special guests: Gonzaga College Orchestra. The Church of the Holy Name, Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh, Monday 12 December at 8pm. MC: Doireann Ní Bhriain. A collection will be made in aid of the Alice Leahy Trust.

Over 20 alumni from a wide range of year groups turned out last Thursday evening to reconnect and reminisce in The Punchbowl Pub in Mayfair, London. The Headmaster, Fiachra Etchingham and Kathryn Maher attended the event along with Union President Jasper Walshe. It was a very fun and friendly evening enjoyed by all who attended!
