Well done to TY student Rohan Devereux, who competed at the International Junior Science Olympiad in Doha, Qatar, from the 3rd to the 12th of December. The Olympiad is a science competition for students under the age of 16. Rohan was one of 130 students invited to the Irish Junior Science Olympiad based on his Junior Certificate results. He was awarded a silver medal at the national Junior Science Olympiad and as a result qualified to represent Ireland internationally. Sevent

A very successful first outing for the Gonzaga delegation at the Model United Nations Conference in Mount Anville! Leo Phelan (5D) and Benjamin Bradley (4C) won distinguished delegate awards. The Gonzaga students are already looking forward to representing our school at future MUN events in Wesley College and St Andrews’s College in the new year.

Educate Magis is an online education community that connects teachers and educators from Jesuit and Ignatian schools. In November five Second Year students from Gonzaga were interviewed by Ms Clarke on their experience of using Educate Magis for their Justice Projects. Their contribution has been included in a very informative video for Education Delegates and teachers. Watch it here.
On Thursday 12 December we will be hosting our annual TY charity concert in the College Chapel. The event is run to raise funds for Our Lady's Hospice, a charity close to the school’s heart. The show will start at 7:30pm sharp. Tickets are available from the event organisers who will be going class to class this week, and on the door on the night. It is €10 for adults and €5 for students. There will be a raffle and refreshments on the night. All welcome
