Morning Worship

Students and staff are very welcome to join us in the Chapel from 8:00 to 8:20 on Mondays for a prayer service, Tuesdays for meditation with Myles O'Reilly SJ Thursdays for Mass with Myles O'Reilly SJ Fridays for a reflective prayer service. For the time being morning worship is not open to the wider community, only students and staff.

Message to the Class of 2020

We would like to welcome you to the Past Pupils Union and congratulate you on your Leaving Certificate results. On behalf of the Union, we would like to wish you ever success with your chosen college course or career path. This was a different year for you all and indeed, a difficult one with an anxious wait for your Leaving Cert results. We are sure you missed so much about your final year, end of school celebrations, Leaving Cert night and of course your formal graduation. We continue to grow our events and while we may not be able to hold any before Christmas, we hope to see you at them over the coming years. Night Study

Night Study will be recommencing on Monday, September 21st, and is available for 5th and 6th year every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Due to COVID-19, we have had to restructure Night Study. Full details here. We will be reviewing Night Study on an ongoing basis, so please do keep in mind that the information outlined in the document is subject to change.

All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad 2021

The Linguistics Olympiad allows you test your mind on puzzles in logic, language and linguistics. It’s a problem solving challenge. You will be afforded the opportunity of developing strategies to solve complex problems in unfamiliar languages from around the world. No prior knowledge of either linguistics or foreign languages is required. See full brochure here. If you are interested in taking part in AILO, talk to Ms Nevin. A brief meeting for interested students will be held on on Thursday, September 17 in Room 6 at 3.30pm.

Sports Timetable Sep-Oct

See here for the current sports timetable. In the College, we are endeavouring to offer as full a co-curricular experience to our students despite the current Covid-19 situation. Sport is even more important to school life and personal wellbeing than ever, and we hope to see as many students participating in any sport, at any level over the school year. All teachers and coaching staff are aware and actively implementing the appropriate safety measures to ensure the boys have a safe and enjoyable return to co-curricular sporting activity. Face masks will be required for indoor sports such as Table-Tennis and Badminton. Other traditionally indoor sports such as Basketball and Ultimate Frisbe

Changes to TY programme

There have been a number of changes to the TY programme as a result of COVID 19. They are as follows: The first Social Outreach placement (Oct 19 - 23) is cancelled and all TYs will be in school for regular classes that week. The first Work Experience placement (Nov 23 - 27) is cancelled and all TYs will be in school for regular classes that week. The Surf Project Retreat (Sept 7 - 11) has been postponed. We hope to do it in March. Further details about all of the above can be found on the TY website.
